Ok... almost finished Reach Ahead, a summer school credit that you can take instead of doing it next year. I did Civics and Careers, a course which teaches you about the government of Canada, and possible career choices. I got to practice my card tricks, which is always good. Now for a fan:

My father showed me how to build a fly dart today, like he did when he was a child. Made out of a piece of dowel and two playing cards, and a piece of string with a loop on the end.

The loop is placed loosely on the end of the arrow, and the other end is wrapped around you hand. You then throw the arrow, and the follow-through motion of your hand pushes the arrow with the string for more power. See more pictures here, and listen for more on the podcast about it.

I have Adobe Premier Pro on a CD, but haven't got it installed on my computer yet, so the 'casts will be fairly low quality until i can start editing them.

It's getting down to Crunch Time, as my parents like to put it. Exams, summatives, and a general increase of work as teachers rush to fit stuff in they forgot or were to busy talking about something else to include.

I love computers. I love anything remotely related to technology.

I want to get an PMP (Portable Media Player), but a decent one comes at a high price. I'm getting a job this summer, working at a golf place, and i'll be making some money off of that, so i'll probably save up for a PMP or a laptop.

So how about that podcast? WSPpodcast still continues, so tune in. My local radio station, Hot 89.9, has their own podcast now, which brings about mixed feelings. I'm glad that another podcast is added to the thousands there are out availiable, but the greatness of podcasting is being chipped away at by commercial entities who simply use it as a marketing tool.

I don't like the sound of this. Although I have mentioned it before, Paris Hilton has a podcast. But when i talked about it, it wasn't out. But now it is. I haven't had a chance to listen to it, but i don't like that people are using it as a sheer marketing tool.

I haven't posted in a while, but here i am.

I recently came across textfiles. I had known of their existance, but not to the level that i recently discovered.

TextFiles

This website has thousands of textfiles on any topic imaginable. Computing, BBSes. and even phreaking. Definatly worth a look.

But why do i like the textfile so much?

Because it is a restrictive media. You can't have pictures, unless you create them yourself with ASCII, so it relies very much on your skill as a writer. This is also why i like podcasting so much. [plug] so check out my podcast,On The Hour, and check out me and my friend at WSPpodcast.[/plug]

It seems that 50 Cent has decided that the massive amounts of money he's raking in is not enough; he's making a video game.

Set to debute on the PS2, i'm extremly dubious about the content factor of this game... A game based around 50 cent? What exactly would you do? Get shot?

These things are destroying me. It's four in the morning where I am, and it's all becuase of the ice cafs i've been having lately. I'm on a constant sugar an caffeine rush, i can't consentrate on anything. But anyway, here's some interesting news:

Sony's new PlayStation Portable is turning into a great tool for web browsing, comics reading and online chat -- and it also happens to play video games, movies and music, if you prefer that sort of thing.

The $250 PSP handheld video-game player went on sale March 24 in the United States, and it took very little time before techies added the kinds of functions to the PSP that Sony did not include -- and may never have intended. One man needed only 24 hours to get a working client for internet relay chat, or IRC, an older messaging platform.

"I was on IRC, and someone mentioned how cool it would be to use their PSP on Wi-Fi at Starbucks to talk to people over IRC. I said, 'I can do that,' so I began working on it immediately," said Robert Balousek, creator of PSPIRC, in an e-mail interview....

That's pretty cool. I personally have had a chance to try out one of the PSP's, but i might end up getting one if I can hack it... imagine the wardriving you could do.
